The Project
Vitals Health Tech aimed to disrupt the telehealth market with a high-performance app connecting patients to specialists via sub-second video latency and real-time biometric tracking.
What We Were Up Against
The app required 100% native performance on both iOS and Android to handle high-definition video and secure biometric data. We needed to maintain a single source of truth for clinical data while ensuring HIPAA compliance and 'Five Nines' server availability.
How We Solved It
We built a dual-native ecosystem using Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android), supported by a NestJS microservices backend on GCP. We also developed a Flutter version for secondary staff tools. The architecture features encrypted WebRTC video, biometric syncing via Apple HealthKit and Google Fit, and zero-trust authentication via Auth0.
